Next event: Cyclo-cross World Championships, Hoogerheide (Ned)

Sven Nys and Hanka Kupfernagel were crowned UCI World Cup champions on the 25th January as the competition closed with an exciting finale in Milan. But the cross season isn't quite over yet. And given the quality of the World Cup this year, the UCI Cyclo-cross World Championships in Hoogerheide is likely to be an un-missable event.

All the big guns will be out in force. With a strong Belgian team behind him -- perhaps the strongest in the sport's history -- will Nys be able to hold off the Dutch defending champion Lars Boom for a double victory, or will he succumb to team politics and the strength of his rivals? Hanka Kupfernagel will undoubtedly be out to defend her title in the women’s championships but with Katherine Compton getting stronger and stronger throughout this season, will she prove an unbeatable force in Hoogerheide?
